Amir Khusro Sangeet Academy

Founded in 2002 by Ustad Munna Shaokath Ali and Jyoti Belliappa, AKSA is a non-profit trust dedicated to preserving and promoting Indian classical music and culture. Named after the legendary Sufi poet-musician Hazrat Amir Khusro, the Academy provides a platform for both renowned and emerging artists, supports aged and needy musicians, and honors excellence through Lifetime Achievement Awards.
AKSA has hosted over 50 landmark performances featuring legends across genres—from shehnai and thumri to kathak and qawwali—while also embracing Western classical piano and mushairas in recent years. It collaborates with premier institutions like Kalakshetra and KM Music Conservatory.
